YOUR RETREAT GUIDE
I am a woman with many names: altar woman, elder, woman of the circle, Anam Cara aka soul friend, Ina ("mom" in Lakota). And of course my given name, Peggy Fontenot. Yet the one most people call me is Grandma Peggy, which seems to fit because I’ve been told that I radiate grandmother wisdom and compassion.
I’m a spiritual intuitive, mentor and guide whose most potent medicine is in working with women to help them come home to themselves — who they really are and what they really want. My love of nature, worldly travels, Native American spiritual path, role as a storyteller and Buddhist mind training are all things I bring to this important work.
I've learned rituals of the Lakota and have been entrusted with leading the sweatlodge ceremony by my Lakota spiritual mom. I’ve been given the honor of being a snake medicine bundle carrier from a Quero Apache snake clan woman. More of my sacred education has come from studying with a Master Buddhist Teacher, Khentrul Lodro Thaye Rinpoche. I am also an ordained Universal Life Church minister and a certified Integrative Life Coach. This and so much more qualify me for this work, if you need to know these things.
I hold sacred space and love people right where they are, while allowing Spirit to guide me as I help them hear their inner voice more clearly. In these ways and more, I’m grateful to be able to fulfill my commitment to serve humanity.
Come visit me, an elder and sage who lives in the woods; to remember and reconnect to who you really are so you can live in greater harmony with yourself, nature and all other beings.
“It’s not something that’s easy for me to explain to people, but my annual trips to Tranquility Point have changed my life. Peggy’s unconditional love and acceptance, her intuition about what I need, and her land…total magic.” — Katie
